The Great Lakes are one of the greatest water sources in the U.S., containing 95 percent of the nation's and 20 percent of the world's fresh surface water. The primary measures of water quantity are the levels of the individual Great Lakes and Lake St. Clair. Water level needs to be understood in connection to the physical system and hydrological cycle. |
